Conscious Entrepreneurship: Why It Makes All The Difference
Conscious entrepreneurship amplifies impact — on ourselves by choosing purpose and leading with values, and on others by implementing empowering, ethical business practices.
Change starts with us, and it needs to start NOW. Let us step into our power and start acting for the greater good.
I want to highlight my three C’s — challenge, commitment, consistency — which I use as my guiding principle in my advocacy on conscious entrepreneurship.
CHALLENGE
The world is awake. Thanks to technology, we now have access to the global stage where we can share our voice and be heard, and to listen to and learn from others.
Choose to challenge — yourself and others.
Given the knowledge that we are responsible for our actions and this action has an impact in our lives and the lives of others, are we practicing what we preach and are we leading by example? Are we maximizing the resources available to us such as platforms and networks to create impact? Change starts within us. Every day I try to remind myself that.
COMMITMENT
Commitment is akin to our “why” and it is key to making things happen. Only when the “why” of our business reflects goals close to our heart we can truly commit to it.
Ethical business practices should be a given. Committing to purpose needs to go further. When we invest heavily in marketing, we can also put an allowance on social projects. Why not pick the cause close to our heart and embed it into our business practices? Why not use our business networks and social outreach to actively drive positive change? It takes commitment for Conscious Entrepreneurship.
CONSISTENCY
Sustainable impact requires continuous and consistent efforts and resources. Let’s face it: If you want to maintain or grow your impact, you need to work on ensuring a financially healthy business.
To stimulate and drive change, I ensure that my values are incorporated into everything I do, and I choose to do business only with people who share my values.
It takes consistency to stay on course, and this is the hidden driver of success. Let’s stay consistent in our courageous efforts, not only for profit but also for social engagement and awareness.
From consciousness comes courage, from courage comes change. Let me hear about your guiding principles!
